In a shocking incident, Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked by an armed intruder during a robbery attempt at his Bandra residence in Mumbai during the early hours of Thursday. The 54-year-old actor sustained multiple stab wounds and is currently undergoing treatment at Lilavati Hospital in Bandra, according to police officials.
The incident occurred at approximately 2:30 AM at Satguru Sharan Building in Bandra West, where Saif Ali Khan lives with his wife, renowned actress Kareena Kapoor Khan, and their two sons, Taimur (8) and Jeh (4). The family was reportedly asleep when the break-in happened.
Police reports suggest that the intruder forcibly entered the residence and attacked Saif Ali Khan during a confrontation. The situation escalated into a physical altercation, during which the actor was stabbed multiple times. The attacker fled the scene after family members were alerted by the commotion.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Dixit Gedam confirmed the ongoing investigation, stating, “The actor and the intruder had a scuffle. The actor is injured and is being treated. Efforts to trace the suspect are in progress.”
Saif Ali Khan was rushed to Lilavati Hospital around 3:30 AM, where he is being treated for six injuries, two of which are reported to be severe. One of the deeper wounds is dangerously close to his spine. The actor is currently undergoing surgery led by neurosurgeon Dr. Nitin Dange, cosmetic surgeon Dr. Leena Jain, and anesthetist Dr. Nisha Gandhi.

Hospital CEO Niraj Uttamani shared an update, stating, “We are operating on him. The extent of the injuries will be clearer once the surgery is complete.”
The Bandra Police have registered an FIR and launched a full-scale investigation. Multiple teams have been deployed to apprehend the suspect involved in the attack.
