Spectators To Get Free Packaged Water At Stadiums Across India: Jay Shah

BCCI Secretary Jay Shah has officially announced that free mineral water bottles will be distributed to fans and spectators participating in the World Cup at all venues.



The much-awaited 13th ICC Men's Cricket World Cup is about to begin in India. The tournament is scheduled to start on October 5, 2023 and culminate on November 19, 2023. The prestigious event will see ten national teams competing for the honour: Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, Netherlands, New Zealand, Pakistan, South. Africa and Sri Lanka.

The tournament will be held in ten different venues across India, showcasing the country's rich cricketing heritage. These venues include the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, the vibrant M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore, the historic M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, the famous Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, the picturesque Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala and the majestic Rajiv Gandjestic International Stadium in Hyderabad, the legendary Eden Gardens in Kolkata, the modern Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow, the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai and the modern MCA International Stadium in Pune. 

The excitement culminates in the highly anticipated semi-finals. The first semi-final will be played at the prestigious Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on November 15, while the second semi-final will draw fans to Kolkata's iconic Eden Gardens on November 16. To ensure fairness, both semi-finals will have a day off due to unforeseen circumstances. The grand final promises to be a spectacle like no other as it graces the magnificent Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on November 19. The next day, November 20, is set as a reserve day, ensuring that nothing can dampen his spirits an important event. Before the start of the tournament on Thursday, Shah made a remarkable announcement about BCCI's provision of free mineral bottled water at stadiums for all spectators. This initiative aims to improve the overall experience of participants.
